TrainingConflicts of all sorts are a common occurrence in virtually every workplace. Employees clash with other employees, supervisors butt heads with subordinates and front line service providers often tangle with customers. Although such conflicts are common enough, it's rare to find individuals that can turn these situations into productive experiences for the organization. Handled poorly, conflict robs the organization of time, energy and morale. Handled well, conflict can be a valuable source of growth and learning. This Conflict Resolution training course is based on proven principles combined with lessons learned from more than 500 successful mediations. It incorporates the concept that conflict often contains the seeds of change and that individuals can learn to work through conflicts to develop solutions that all of the parties can embrace. The course delivers practical skills for resolving a variety of disputes in the workplace and community. It features role play exercises based on actual disputes. Participants practice skills that are based on these proven techniques. This training has been used with a wide variety of different groups including police officers, court personnel, neighborhood associations, and workplace groups. This material is suitable for a stand-alone training program as well as a component of another training course.
